PALOMAT Inline now handles 4 x ¼ plastic pallets
We have developed a new model of our PALOMAT Inline – for automatic stacking and destacking of pallets in automatic systems. Now it is possible to handle 4x¼ plastic pallets at the same time.
"We got the enquiry based on a large project. To solve the job we have modified our standard PALOMAT Inline for euro-pallets with longer grippers plus another gripping device. The solution has been completely perfect to handle four of the light ¼ plastic pallets at the same time”, says Thomas Lind Gadegaard, Mechanical Engineer at PALOMAT.
A chain conveyor carries one euro pallet in under the right side of the PALOMAT. Then the PALOMAT destacks 4 x ¼ plastic pallets on the euro pallet which are carried out under the left side of the PALOMAT together. The PALOMAT inline makes pallet handling noticeably more efficient by handling 4 x ¼ plastic pallets instead of only one. If necessary, the pallets can also be destacked directly on the chain conveyor.
A new segment
“With the new standard model, we have the opportunity to offer a solution to the machine builders and system houses that often handle projects with ¼ plastic pallets. It used to be a big challenge to handle enquiries from this segment”, says Majbritt Svane, Area Manager at PALOMAT. "The market for ¼ plastic pallets is growing, so it is incredibly positive that we have added this new model to our range".
The first PALOMAT Inline for 4 x ¼ plastic pallets has been installed at a large producer of cleaning detergents in Denmark and is working to their complete satisfaction.
